Tired of being compared with others all the time. Tired of hearing how other people's children are doing, how disciplined they are, how well they score. Just so you know, all those do not matter to me at all.
I'm big enough to know what I'm doing. If they can stay at home and study all the time, just as you wish, then that's their problem. I have my own way of doing well. I'm someone who believes that those that succeed are not bookworms. With internet available, the world does not need walking dictionaries.
I'm tired of always trying to live up to the high expectation that is being set for me. Frankly speaking, I do not like all those at all, be it coming from classmates, lecturers, or even my parents. I get tired because of that, I get stressed out because of that, because of trying to meet those expectations, which are unnecessary.
Yes, I may not be the most pleasant son ever, the smartest ever, the most disciplined ever, but all this is because of the feeling that is building up inside of me. I do not know how to explain it, all I can say is I'm tired.
If only there was no expectations on me, I would have definitely done better than what I have achieved. You will never know a student's life.
And you wonder why am I always quiet at home.

Inconsolable Terry. As many of you know, I'm someone who doesn't really watch tv and I spend most of my time life in front of my computer. I was never really a great fan of American Idol either. For he past few seasons, I was only interested in who won and their songs after that. Somehow things changed a little this season and there is something that I got attracted to and I'm glad that I actually watch this season's Idol. Arguably one of the best eh?
Just a small review of what I felt that night. This is rare as it comes from someone who's not a tv addict. I'm pretty neutral about both of them because both are as good, so no biased review. (:
ROUND 1
David Cook's I still haven't found what I'm looking for is the kind of songs that I want to hear from him. It was really nice and he knows how to communicate with the audience, something that his competitor is not really good in doing. I really liked it and the ending was awesome. How many can actually sing U2's songs huh? So credits to David Cook for doing it well but I still prefer U2's. Duh.
David Archuleta's Don't let the sun go down on me was equally good as well. Another song from a great singer and I'm glad that he did not screw up and did it brilliantly. I agree with what Randy said, crazy vocals. I like the chorus part where everything seemed so perfect and nice. This is also a song that I would play in repeat mode in my media player. After he sang this song, my support kinda shifted towards David Archuleta's side.
I have to say, round 1, both were equally good. I liked both performances.
ROUND 2
Dream Big for DC was just okay for me. Yeah, he sang it well and it was nice all. But i just couldn't feel connected to that song and it certainly did not feel like a winning song to me. No problem about his singing, I always like the way he ends the song. But once again, it would be nice if it's not a winner's songs because it certainly did not feel like one to me.
On the other hand, DA's In this moment was my personal favourite of the night. I actually felt touched by the song! It's something unusual cos I don't usually feel touched or sad when I watch that kinda show. I'm emotionless when it comes to emo shows. However wrong this may sound, but at the moment I felt like giving him a hug. It's definitely the right song and it did feel like a winner's song to me. I could only imagine him singing this full with emotions if he was to be announced the winner. But sadly that's not the case. 5/5 for this as it really touched me. Don't you guys agree with me this is more like a winner's song? It's currently being played over and over again in my laptop.
Archuleta for round 2.
ROUND 3
The world I know was too slow and draggy for my liking. Well this is just my taste and this is not Cook's fault. Nothing much to say about this, just that I don't really like that song. He did well though.
Imagine. His personal favourite and his best song but I just wasn't crazy over that song. Again, he did well and I have nothing to say about that maybe because I've heard him singing many times before. I prefer his second song.
So this round, both were equally good as well. So that's the end of it.
I wasn't too disappointed with the result but I didn't expect it to turn out this way because to my ears, DA has the louder cheer from the crowd. In my opinion, based on that night performances, I think Archuleta deserved it more because he showed the determination to win it and he has been consistently good through out the whole season. Flawless performances on that night. But again, congratulation to Cook. He was also good and he's a better performer than Archuleta is. His ability to communicate with the crowd is a plus point. So both of you are winners in my eyes and both of you will go far as well. Maybe..slower for Archuleta.
You know, talking about football is very much easier than talking about AI to people because there's nothing much to argue in football. But in AI, some of the Cook's supporters will shoot Archuleta and the other way round.
I have people telling me that Cook looks ugly with a big forehead and Archuleta's cute. I don't agree with the first part because Cook has the style and he looks good and natural to me.
Some said that you wouldn't want to hear Archuleta's songs over and over again because you'll eventually get bored of it. I agree with this to a certain extend. But you don't expect Clay Aiken to sing Daughtry's songs right? Look at where Clay Aiken is now.
This is even funnier. This girl told me that Cook played instrument for his performance and Archuleta did not. For me, playing a guitar is way too simple and normal for guys. 90% of the guys can play like how Cook played. Girls, which woud you prefer, guy on piano or guy with guitar? ;)
